parent taking out loans in my name

2 weeks ago - Posted by

My mums been taking out loans and credit card in my name since i was under 18 . im 23 and she only told me this last year, saying it was to pay off debt she accrued when she was younger and she had no other option.I eventually calmed down and said i understood as long as it stopped., as thankfully i didnt follow her footsteps and avoid any borrowing so didnt really affect me debt. She said it would and everything was now payed off. I’ve been receiving letters from quickquid and tesco bank, i asked my mum and she lied and said they were about old payments. Iooked on her phone and found a history of loans shes took out in my name after she told me it stopped. My credit score is low even though i’ve never borrowed or been in debt myself. I’ll be needing a mortgage and things soon and i’m really worried. I don’t want to take any legal action against my mum, is there any other way i can fix my credit without taking her to court?
