DRO effected now I’ve moved into a mortgaged property.

2 years ago - Posted by

I had my DRO granted 7 months but I need to update my address with the OR. My financial circumstances are the same however my husband bought a house for our family to move into (I am obviously not on the mortgage) so wondered if this would effect my DRO?

You will have to let the Debt Relief Order Unit know of your change of circumstances when you update your address. If the result of moving into a different house has no impact to your Debt Relief Order (DRO) they will let you know. If you do not own a property now then this is no different to when the order was originally granted. If the move has made any difference to your income and expenditure it will need to be checked to see if your disposable income is still under the £50 a month threshold.
