Experto Credite Debt Collectors
Experto Credite Ltd. entered voluntary liquidation in 2015. If you have an existing account with them, or they were employed to collect a debt from you on behalf of one of their clients, you may have questions about what has happened to your account.
- Were you making payments to Experto Credite and want to know what happened to your money?
- Are you still liable to pay the original debt after Experto Credite’s liquidation?
- Can you have your Experto Credite debt cancelled?
Even though the company was dissolved a few years ago, it’s quite possible that you could still hold an account. This could have happened because the original creditor or newly appointed collection agency hasn’t been able to make contact with you.
If you’re looking to repay money you owe or would like to understand your rights in this situation further, we can help.
The Financial Conduct Authority regulates debt collectors, and the Code of Practice that binds them is set out by the Credit Services Association.

Who is Experto Credite?
Experto Credite was a debt collection agency employed to retrieve defaulted commercial and non-commercial debt by organisations and businesses without the full range of resources required to retrieve them themself.
Because a debt collection agency is set up purely to chase unpaid debt, they use all available resources to recover the full amount owed and are much more efficient in their processes.
Many are open to negotiating a suitable deal or ‘settlement’. This is a one-off payment that is less than the original amount but considered fair enough to remove the debt from your account.
In other areas where the debt isn’t manageable under the debtor’s current circumstances, they should negotiate a repayment amount and schedule that is in line with the debtor’s current income and satisfactory to both parties.
Why would Experto Credite have contacted you?
You may have had a loan, credit card, store card or any other type of consumer or finance industry debt where you failed to keep up with the repayments.
Experto Credite would have been employed to make sure you pay back the money that you owe to their clients.
Did you owe Experto Credite money?
By now, you should have received instruction on how to repay what you owe and to whom you should be making your payments.
You should have been referred back to your original creditor or to an alternative debt collector.
If you lost contact with Experto Credite and you have only recently found out about them entering liquidation, you might not be sure of your next step.
There’s a chance your debt could have expired, or efforts to contact you have been mislaid or lost for some reason.
If so, you should contact their representative using the above contact details. However, if you’d like to understand what your rights are and the possibility of removing the debt from your account, our resident debt expert, TAD, can go over your situation and offer independent advice in the best way to handle the situation. We’ll be able to guide you through the best options in your situation.
How old is the debt they are collecting?
If you haven’t engaged with Experto Credite since they entered liquidation, there’s a strong chance that your debt could have become statute-barred.
A statute barred debt is typically over 5-years-old in Scotland and 6-years-old in England, and if it has been inactive over that time, it could be written off.
To find out if your debt has been statute barred, talk to TAD today. If it has, we’ll help you cancel it. If it is still active, however, we can let you know the best steps to having it removed or whether or not you should be making repayments towards it.
Did Experto Credite treat you unfairly?
In today’s society, it’s unlikely that a professional agency will treat their customers with anything short of understanding and ethical behaviour.
However, there are times when a poor agent or collector steps over the line and acts outside the rules set out by the Credit Services Association’s Code of Practice.
If so, they could be expected to face prosecution, and there could be a compensation award.
