Who is Clarity Credit Management?

Clarity Credit Management is a debt collection agency that buys or manages credit accounts to recover all unpaid amounts.

They are a UK business based in Northamptonshire and have been in operation since 2005.

When a business hasn’t got the resources to chase customers whose accounts have defaulted, they employ an agency such as Clarity Credit Management to find out why and to find an agreeable solution for you to pay the outstanding amount.

Clarity Credit is a dedicated debt collection business; they have all the tools and employees to stay in regular contact with those customers who fail to make repayments. They are driven to recover what’s owed, so you must respond to their negotiations.

If you don’t want the matter to escalate. Clarity can pursue what you owe through Court action if you refuse to engage with them.

As a debt collector, Clarity Credit Management follow the Code of Practice as dictated by the Credit Services Association and are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Why would Clarity Credit Management contact you?

Clarity Credit will chase any of their clients’ customers who have failed to pay towards their bills or missed regular payments on credit facilities.

They’re not there to judge but to help find a way for you to pay the money owed in a payment plan that you can afford.

In certain instances, they can accept a one-off settlement payment that is less than what you owe. They can also help you choose a monthly repayment amount that is affordable to you, making paying back the money more comfortable and within your budget.

Do you owe Clarity Credit money?

Your initial letter will outline the total amount you owe, who you took the original loan or credit facility out with, and how much you’ve paid so far.

If the details don’t look familiar, you may have the right to cancel the debt and have it removed. Occasionally, outstanding accounts get allocated to the wrong person.

This happens in cases of fraudulent account application, debt associated with a previous tenant at your address or in joint account situations.

If you’re not sure whether or not you are responsible for the money shown, TAD can answer all questions regarding your specific situation.

How old is the debt they are collecting?

Some consumer debts can be written off after being inactive for 5 or 6 years. These debts are known as statute barred, and if they conform to all the necessary criteria, can be cancelled in full, with no further payment.

The inactive period starts from the last time you made a payment towards the account or accepted, during written contact, that the debt was your responsibility.

If you think your loan or credit account could be statute barred, contact TAD to find out if you can have it removed.

If the debt is still active, we can advise you on your next best step and the various options available to you.

Is Clarity Credit Management treating you unfairly?

With strict rules in place to protect customers, it’s relatively rare in today’s market that debt collectors fail to follow guidelines governed by the Financial Conduct Authority. However, on occasion, it does still happen.

If you think you’ve been mistreated in any way by your collection agency, we can confirm whether or not this is the case. If so, you are entitled to protection, and in some cases, there could be a compensation payment.
