I asked for a final bill to clear my account in Nov 2010 and was sent one, which I duly paid in full. This stated it was a final bill to clear the account. In early Feb 2011 I then got a letter saying the accounts dept had made an error and I still owed them £1175! Am I obliged to pay it or do I have a case in that it was their mistake and I should not be liable for the additional amount? Please help as I don't have that kind of money and would have to go into debt to pay it.
