i have been told i owe extra income from last year as my income was set high last year and now it is set at a lower rate they are saying i need to pay extra income for the whole of last year based on the lower rate how could i have known this i paid the correct amounts all year based on the higherrate of income which was arranged at the begining of the year i feel this is wrong

You should follow the internal complaints procedure for the IVA provider if you feel that you have been unjustly treated. If this does not resolve the situation you can take your complaint further, to the Financial Ombudsman. It is very difficult to change IVA providers and you will find it better to try and renegotiate a lower monthly premium with your existing provider.

It’s usually only possible to change Insolvency Practitioner in exceptional circumstances (death of the IP, the IP moving firm etc). We are not exactly clear on what you’re asking re the income, however, if you’ve paid what you were asked to pay then you won’t need to pay any extra. The IVA is a legal agreement and your IP can’t renegotiate those payments retrospectively.
