I can't get car insurance with an IVA |
I have just tried to get insured for my car and was told that because I have an IVA that the under writers have declined my application, is this standard practice, I didn't think that my credit history would be a problem while having a IVA, should I not tell an insurance company when applying for insurance?

If you pay your car insurance by instalment, you are setting up a credit agreement with the insurer. Usually you are paying the annual premium plus interest over 11 or 12 months. As this is a form of credit, you may find it quite difficult to get any insurance company to agree to you paying monthly.
