question category: IVA

I am well into an IVA and have met someone that I am thinking of moving in with?

She has her own house, car, etc and I dont want my bad credit history to affect her? Would me moving into to her house do that?

Credit Reference agencies show information about an individual and their credit history, however it will also show people you have financial links with. You might have decided to combine your finances with someone else’s to apply for credit together e.g. when buying a house. You would each have a separate credit reports. The credit reference agencies don't issue joint reports, but accounts that are in both names, or that you've co-signed for, will show on each person’s individual report.

If you are moving house and are not creating any financial link then this will not affect the owner of the property that you are moving into.

Each individual is responsible for their own credit rating and there should not be any cross over between your file and anyone else. The Personal Information section of your credit report includes your name, date of birth, and your current and previous address. So although the address is listed it is not going to have an effect on their credit rating.
