alternative to my iva |
i am one year into my ive but have received a letter saying they can save me even more money than having an iva.
obviously they know i have one but surely it cant be that easy.
thay outline points such as my having to remortgage ,ptotect my home,lower debt payments etc the company is iva helplne uk

the letter itself looks like a remender ,all red writing
my wife received a copy too.

If you are managing to pay your IVA I would speak to your supervisor as they do act on your behalf, also have another look at the proposal that you should have signed before entering into your IVA as it will show all the details you will need to ensure it was the right solution for you and it advises why it was a better solution than bankruptcy.
Without knowing the specifics of your particular situation, we’ve heard of companies using unsettling tactics before, for which they have been heavily reprimanded. They are trying to sell you another solution, either a Debt Management Plan (which may have lower repayments but over a much longer period of time) or Bankruptcy, for which they will probably charge you a fee. You Supervisor should have gone through all of your options and explained which solution was most appropriate for you before signing up to the IVA.
If you were to fail your current IVA you may then be liable for all charges incurred (again as noted in your proposal)
