When a company goes into liquidation, it ceases to exist as an entity.
The liquidator runs the company down and sells it's assets for the benefit of creditors.
Employees get priority over other creditors but if there is no money to make payments the liquidator will not be able to pay you.
If your contract is with the old company it may not be worth anything.
You need to make contact with the liquidator as soon as possible to clarify your position. You may also get information from the redundancy unit at the insolvency service.
