im married and wanting to go into a dro. but also wanting to apply...


im wanting to go into a dro but also apply to the navy. the navy have told me they take in people with an iva but not bankrupt people. which does a dro stand with? because i know its not total bankruptcy is it??

DROs are the same as bankruptcy with regards to the restrictions placed on the debtor and the impact they have. IVAs are considered differently but DROs are on a par with bankruptcy. Therefore going through a DRO is likely to be seen as the same as bankruptcy by the navy.

You can apply next year after you get discharged. A DRO would be seen as bankruptcy, but the Navy only have a problem with undischarged bankrupts.
