The criteria varies from force to force and depends on what kind of job you are going for. I doubt you will be able to apply during the order.

As far as I can see police application forms require you to list any debt problem you have had.

Honesty is the best policy- the police have a duty to manage risks and they can't do that if you hide information from them.

DRO's are publicy listed on the Insolvency Service website so you can't be sure they won't find out. I'm sure it would show up in the vetting procedure.

So if they find something out about you that is not on the form the application will usually be "binned".

They only last for one year and you should be able to apply for the Police after that. Perhaps you should speak to your local recruitment officer and they'll be able to advise you about their criteria.
