No Job Lots of Direct Debits to repay

Ive just been dismissed from my last employer and struggling to find new work, i have £700 in direct debits that go out each month, What happens if i cant pay these... ?? i have no assests other than the car which i am still paying for on hp.

If you don't pay your direct debits they will bounce and you will incurr bank charges.

It would be far better to cancel all the direct debits and pay as much as you can in cash, making sure everybody gets something.
