My name is on the house but the mortgage is in my mum's and partners name with me only contributing to living costs. I am worried that if I apply for an IVA then my creditors will make me auction the house to pay them. Is there anything that I can do?

By entering into an IVA you will not be forced to sell your house. However you may be asked to raise capital towards the end of your agreement to make a final payment to your creditors. This will depend on the value of the property and the other loans secured against it. Speak to your IVA provider or a debt adviser in order that you can go through your options and the implications of taking out an IVA.
