How much to settle £12K of debt early? |
I have £12K of debt and currently in a DMP paying a fraction of the amount. If I were to come into some money, how likely is it that my creditors would accept a smaller amount as full and final payment to pay off the whole amount?

Creditors are open to accept smaller amounts in full and final settlement of debt outstanding. How much they will accept depends of the individual creditor. If you come into some money and feel it is enough to make reasonable offers, speak to your DMP who may be able to negotiate on your behalf. Alternatively you could try speaking to your creditors directly.
