Must I be allowed to buy-out X's share of our home if the court accepts a low ball offer?

The court ordered the home sold and split 60/40. Court appointed Receiver accepted a lowball offer that ex agreed to , but I didn't as it would
force me into bankruptcy. Instead, I'd rather buy out X's share, live in and improve the home and sell it in the future at a decent price. But X
is trying to force the sale and the Receiver is X's friend. x's share rather than accept a low ball offer.

I have no secured debt, but I do have unsecured debt, mostly to my ex for paying his attorney fees (even tho he's a doc earning $400k a year and I
have a fixed income due to retirement. I'd have to declare Ch7 if the offer closes, but might file 13 to get it out of divorce court and into bankruptcy court to decide what I owe,j what can be discharged. I would rather pay off what I owe over time than lose my home and only asset.

I'm guessing this is an American debt question :-) Unfortunately this is www.Talkaboutdebt.co.uk and I don't think I can help with it. Sorry
