question category: Bankruptcy

If I declare myself bankrupt, will my wife's horses(pets) be taken.

Only joint account in her name, but I am principle account holder. Remaining debts in my name. We rent a property and all debts unsecured.

Your wife’s horses will not be considered assets in your bankruptcy as long as she can prove (i.e through a ‘Bill of Sale’) that she purchased them.
