I am about to declare myself bankrupt my husband has a sole mortgage will this effect him?

Just as with divorce, the fact that you are not on the mortgage does not mean you don't have a claim on the equity.

Its a complicated question and you need some specialist advice from a solicitor or insolvency practitioner.

It depends on what you have contributed to the household and for how long.
