The main debts that cannot be written off or ‘discharged’ are: Student Loan debts, loans and other debts that are secured by collateral like you home, fines and penalties, and CSA (Child Support Agency) claims. All other debt including: Unsecured loans, credit card debts, bills, CCJ’s and Tax bills are written off.
If you're considering Bankruptcy, make sure you have also looked at other debt solutions like IVA's and Debt Management Plans as well. A debt advice organisation will be able to advise which is the best one for you.
