Re: can they take a car which is not mime

Logic would say no they can't but bailiffs are a law unto themselves - as you will read elsewhere on this site.

They will have put a "walking possession" through your door and will have assumed the car is yours. Tactic to get you to pay the debt as quickly as possible.

You must contact the bailiff and make arrangements to pay them. Bailiffs are extremely expensive and will clamp the car first and ask questions later, They will also try to get into your home and list your other goods on a walking possession.

If you sign that form - the goods are technically the bailiff's and can be removed at any time.

If they refuse to believe you or act in any way unprofessionally you must complain to the court that appointed the bailiff.

Your local CAB can advise you about the complaints procedure face to face.
