Re: Can balliefs turn up at my workplace ?

This depends on whether the bailiff’s are looking to levy/seize goods that belong to you in order to sell then and pay your debt, or whether an arrest warrant has been issued for you. If they are looking to seize goods they cannot come to your workplace, as this is the premises of a third party and the property in it doesn’t belong to you. The car you have on HP also belongs to a third party and cannot be seized.

If they have a warrant for your arrest they are able to enter your workplace and arrest you. Alternatively you can avoid this by speaking to the bailiff’s by telephone and arranging a time and day to present yourself at court.
