The bailiff should accept the £300 you offer and you can set up an agreement to pay the rest back in instalments. If you default on the arrangement you make, then they will most likely come back and levy any goods of value in your property, which could include cars, sofa's, washing machines etc. Once the goods have been levied the bailiff's can seize them and sell them in order to repay the outstanding debt.
