I have an outstanding council tax debt of £350, at 6:00am this morning a bailiff called to my house and put a notice of seizure on my sons car which was parked on the drive. He didnt knock the door etc just posted it through letterbox with letter of removal attached as well. States car reg number / colour of car all keys & documents etc his bailiff number signed and date.
This is my sons car he has v5 logbook in his name and documents etc I do not have a car. Can they take his car for my debts? or do they just assume its my car on driveway.

It sounds like the bailiff has assumed the car is yours. I would advise you to tell the bailiff that the car is not yours, providing him with a photocopy of the log book. However, do not let him into your property, as he will then be able to levy goods in your home. I would advise you to seek free, independent help from a debt counsellor.
