bailiffs are coming to my house in the morning,to remove goods,for an unpaid speeding fine.


the sum has now gone from £50 up to £770,i have managed to borrow £700,i have told the bailiff that i have £700,and his answer was unless you have the other £70,keep it love,and i will see you in the morning with a warrent to entre your home,and will have the police with me.is this the normal practice or can he tell i am worried,as i am,and i am also a single parent with a 4yr and 6yr old daughters,i did make regular payments to begin with,but missed a couple of payments on different occasisions,because i just couldnt buy things the children needed ie school uniforms,winter coats and shoes,can i not ask them to start another payment plan by direct debit

I note you posted this a day or so and things will have moved on since then.

This is outrageous behaviour, don't worry the police will not be there unless you have threatened the bailiff with assault or a breach of the peace,

You must contact the court that issued the warrant and also the company that employed the bailiff and complain if their behaviour is in any way unprofessional.

Unfortunately bailiffs are a law unto themselves. Make every effort to pay them as much as you can.

They will almost certainly not take your things, at least on a first visit. There are plenty of other posts on here that explain bailiff procedure. If you want to email me please do.

In general you are best trying to make a debit or credit card payment to them before they come to your property.
