Auf Wiedersehen Debt

Even though that I don’t know you
I’m going to place a bet
That now, before or sometime
You’ll be face to face with debt

It could have been with money
That was used to pay the rent
Or could have just been credit
That you’ve already spent

There are always those that aren’t though
Born to be a saver
Sitting on their stock pile
Glad that they weren’t braver

But money bags will be in debt
Maybe not the same as you
Could be to man, who helped find job
Or made their dreams come true

See debt’s not just for credit crunch
In a share or dividend
It’s way of showing those around you
You’re there to be a friend

So bills and money that I owe
I’ll pay and then forget
But for anyone who’s shown me love
I’m forever in their debt
